"....have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

Know me...

If you can still hear the words
In my silence, wherever I am
If you can still word the lyrics of my song
In my absence, wherever you are
You know me...

If you can hold onto the thoughts
The first one's and a few last's
If you can still see eye to eye
Even when you are U and i am I
You know me...

If you can still hold steady
When I crash every wave
If you can still breathe along
As I stand on the edge of that grave
You know me...

If you can carve my feelings
Chisel and sculpt it within you
If you can still find the tools
To not let it fade away, even if i do
You know me...

If you can still hold on
When I have long let go
If you can pretend to move on
For t'is the only way I'll let go
You know me...

If you still let your shadow follow me
When mine's waning away
If you still let your tide ebb into the ocean
To let your next wave, cast you my way
You know me...
