"....have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

Wishing I...

Wishing I was new
Wishing I was different
Wishing I was free..

There are but a few
Moments left to lament
Every second up that tree

Wishing I knew how
Wishing I could chase
Wishing I was free to sense…

It’ll come somehow
Through a changing moon phase
Sure enough, under every pretense

Wishing I understood
Wishing I did share
Wishing I was free to sense it….

Like I always could
In a world, I’d less not care
To be in a space, I’d rather not fit
